ABOUT THE VAAL DAM

The Vaal Dam, only ±120 km from Johannesburg, has steadily developed over the past few years as a gem for recreation with a shoreline of 880 km, and clean, unpolluted water. The three towns of Deneysville at the Vaal Dam wall, Vaalmarina and Oranjeville on the Western, Eastern, and Southern shore of the dam. Each with the necessary infrastructure to provide essential services, as well as hosting two well equipped marinas and three boat clubs. Due to increased demand for properties with private water frontage, many farms along the shoreline of the Vaal Dam, in recent years, have been subdivided into smallholdings of approximately 2ha each of 100m, in a rural setting, many within game farm.
